Meet Dr.Eedy Mezer

Biographical sketch.
Eedy Mezer, MD, is the former Head of the Israeli Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus.
He is the Editor-in-chief of the Israeli Ophthalmological Society (ILOS) website
In addition, he is the Head of the Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus Service at Rambam Health Care Campus.
He is an adjunct senior lecturer at the Technion Isarel Institute of Technology Ruth and Bruce Rappaport faculty of Medicine.
Dr. Mezer is an active member of the International and European Strabismological Associations (ISA, ESA), the American association for pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus, as well as the International Society for Genetic Eye Disease and Retinoblastoma.
He is a reviewer for world leading medical journal including Ophthalmology (the official publication of AAO - the American Academy of Ophthalmology), Investigative Ophthalmology and visual science (the official publication of ARVO – the American Society for Eye and Vision Research), AJO - the American Journal of Ophthalmology and BJO - the British Journal of Ophthalmology.
He frequently presents original research in national and international meetings and the author of more than 35 peer reviewed scientific articles.
Dr. Mezer's clinical and research interests include strabismus (eye misalignment), amblyopia (lazy eye) and ametropia
(abnormal refractive errors) ROP (retinopathy of prematurity) as well as retinal dystrophies (night blindness),
and other genetic disorders and syndromes of the eye.
