Biographical sketch.
Prof. Eedy Mezer, MD, is the former Head of the Israeli Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus. He is the Editor-in-chief of the Israeli Ophthalmological Society (ILOS) website. He is an associate teaching fellow at the Technion Israel Institute of Technology Ruth and Bruce Rappaport faculty of Medicine. Dr. Mezer is an active member of the International and European Strabismological Associations (ISA, ESA), a Technology committee member at the American association for pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus, as well as the chairmen of the research committee at the International Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus Council (IPOSC).
He is a reviewer for world leading medical journal including Ophthalmology (the official publication of AAO - the American Academy of Ophthalmology), Investigative Ophthalmology and visual science (the official publication of ARVO – the American Society for Eye and Vision Research), AJO - the American Journal of Ophthalmology and BJO - the British Journal of Ophthalmology.
He has presented original research in over a 100 national and international meetings and authored more than 74 peer reviewed scientific articles. Prof. Eedy Mezer, MD's clinical and research interests include myopia and visual disabilities including blindness, and amblyopia (Lazy eye).
